What should be the economic priorities in post-war Ukraine? - Christopher Hartwell and Dmytro Boyarchuk for EconPol Forum

Dmytro Boyarchuk, CASE-Ukraine Director and Christopher Hartwell have provided the journal EconPol Forum with an overview of necessary changes in post-war Ukraine. They argue that the key elements to its successful growth are: accelerating post-maidan tempo of reforms with a special attention paid to the rule of law, and simplifying nearly every aspect of interaction with the government during the transition from war economy to market economy, thus encouraging investments. - These are all issues which Ukraine should be moving on even without EU accession, and this should be the emphasis: becoming a European state, with an emphasis on core European values related to rule of law and free trade - say the authors.
