CASE hosted the kick-off meeting for WP12 and WP17 in FP7 NEUJOBS project

A two day kick-off meeting was organized by CASE that aimed at gathering together partners from two Work Packages related to the ageing of European societies. Two topics were discussed. First, the study attempts to assess the impact of ageing on the future size and structure of the labour force. Secondly, it will analyze in detail the employment situation in the health and long-term care sectors. Moreover, it tries to estimate the future demand for goods and services for the elderly.

Partners from 7 different institutions gathered in Warsaw with the aim to agree on possible collaboration between the two topics. More detailed research results and additional coordination will follow during the next project event to take place at the end of September in Bratislava.

The FP7 EC project "NEUJOBS: Employment 2025: How multiple transitions will affect the European labour market?" aims to analyze future possible developments of the European labour market(s) under the main assumption that European societies are now facing or preparing to face four main transitions that will have a major impact on employment, in particular for some groups in the labour force or sectors of the economy.
