Project Manager

Dr. Bieliei is an experienced project manager, PMP and PRINCE2 certifications holder, a member of Project Management Institute (Pennsylvania, USA).  At CASE, Dr. Bieliei is managing projects funded by the European Commission (DG TRADE, DG GROW, DG NEAR, and H2020), European Parliament, Visegrad Fund, national and private donors. Currently, he is managing a multi-million EuroPACE project within the H2020 programme.  Among other project management activities implemented by Dr. Bieliei, the most crucial are identifying project scope and objectives, drafting project bids, ensuring involvement of all relevant stakeholders and warrant technical feasibility, budgeting and reporting on both substantive and financial conditions of all project activities according to a work plan.

Dr. Bieliei research interests encompass international relations, decentralisation, digitalisation, socio-economic and political transformation in Western Balkans, Central Asia and Eastern Partnership regions.  In addition to his research work, he has conducted workshops and advised local and regional authorities on effective decentralisation in the European Neighbourhood states. He was awarded his PhD in Political Science from Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University after defending a PhD thesis on the concept of “middle power” in contemporary international relations in 2016. He also received an MA in Political Studies with a focus on East European Studies and Western Balkans from the University of Warsaw as well as an MA in International Relations from Donetsk National University. He speaks Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, English, Serbian and has a good command of German.
