TECHNICAL PROPOSAL WRITERS

TECHNICAL PROPOSAL WRITERS

CASE, the Center for Social and Economic Research in Warsaw, Poland, is an international economics think tank, ranked #2 in the Central and Eastern European region by the University of Pennsylvania. CASE undertakes policy-relevant research in macroeconomics, growth, private sector development, labor economics, social policy, energy, environment, and many other areas. Our staff have worked in countries all over the world, but we focus mainly on European issues and the issues of European integration with Poland’s eastern neighbors.

CASE is now soliciting CVs for our roster of technical proposal writers. We are looking for professionals with an interest in writing winning proposals for CASE to join a roster of writers-in-waiting, to be called upon as opportunities arise. Given that CASE has a goal of at least 60 proposals a year, and we are on track to meet this goal for 2015, there may be many opportunities for a skilled writer in the coming year to contribute to CASE’s success.

Qualifications

  • A track record of writing successful proposals
  • Experience in dealing with international donor agencies, including USAID, DFID, the World Bank, and especially the European Commission.
  • Bachelor’s and preferably a master’s in relevant subject areas: economics, political science, public policy, business, finance, engineering, environmental sciences, etc.
  • Flexibility to turn-around a technical proposal on short notice (often a month to 2 weeks)
  • Experience in project management and/or a research background is a plus
  • Experience in editing or proofreading
  • Extremely good organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and hold to firmly established deadlines
  • Fluent written English; for our Polish work, we are also looking for native Polish speakers.

Given the broad reach of CASE and our strategy for the coming years, we are also especially interested in writers with experience in winning grants from foundations and corporate donors. As this will be a roster of consultants, we are interested in obtaining CVs from a large number of writers across donors – so if you are a specialist in USAID but not the EC, please submit your CV and we will keep you in mind for USAID projects.

Remuneration will be based on the particular call or proposal, with larger proposals having a chance for higher remuneration.

CASE offers excellent project management support, a large roster of experts (both in our network and in-house), and its own 24 year track record of successfully winning proposals.

If interested, please submit your CV to case@case-research.eu

This call is on-going, but CVs are appreciated sooner rather than later.
