The book entitled Socialism.Capitalism.Transformation, authored by Leszek Balcerowicz summarizes some of twenty years of his research into the connections between economic and political institutions and human behaviour, institutional change, and the way such occurs. It was published in 1995 by the CEU Press.

Balcerowicz summarizes the research on institutions, institutional change, and human behavior that he has undertaken since the late 1970s, including the Polish model of economic reform.
