Katarzyna Mirecka


Katarzyna Mirecka was an Economist at CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research in Warsaw, Poland. Her fields of expertise include social policy, income inequality, unemployment, welfare states, and poverty.

At CASE, Ms. Mirecka is responsible for implementing projects funded by the European Commission, including undertaking interviews, gathering background data, and writing analyses in the areas of fiscal and labor policies. She also contributes to business development activities, authoring sections of proposals, and has participated in numerous technical assistance projects for Polish and European institutions. Previously, she worked as a Project Manager for a Brussels-based NGO, leading development projects in Africa.

Ms. Mirecka holds an MA in Economics from Poznań University of Economics in Poland and a BA in Applied Foreign Languages (English and Russian) from the Université Stendhal Grenoble III in France. She speaks Polish, French, English, and Russian, and has basic knowledge of Italian.
