Evidence-based educational policy research - organisational structure, financing

Goal:

Developing education policy in Poland by narrowing the communication gap between research and policy-making in education

A series of seminars took place throughout 2007 in which former ministers of education (1989 - 2005) met to debate upon the most significant problems in the Polish education system. The ministers identified recommendations and evaluated the feasibility of the proposed plans of action.

Effects:

  • new organisational and structural solutions for research and expert support for Polish Ministry of Education were proposed,
  • the most important problems for Polish education were identified,
  • proposals for next steps were presented.
