Development of small and medium enterprises in Belarus through improvement of business climate and enforcement of business infrastructure

 

Description:  

The project aim was to improve the legal framework for starting and running a business in Belarus and enforce the cooperation between SME and local authorirties in Belarus.

The project team organized focus-groups for SME representatives in Minsk and other major cities, conducted a survey of 250 small companies,· examined case studies of how other Eastern European countries do business; analyzed the legal backgrounds of SME in Belarus; and held a seminar for experts, SME representatives, authorities, and lawers.
