Comparative Analysis of the results of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) based on semi-parametric matching methods and hierarchical linear models

Description

The project aims to carry out a comparative study of Polish students with respect to their counterparts in other OECD countries. The study focuses on various factors that affect learning outcomes, and it also examines the question of how to properly measure social inequalities in education and ensure international comparability of these measures.

The study is conducted by means of statistical and econometric tools. Analysis is based on data from the PISA 2006 tests results for the 16 and 17 year olds.

A report will be produced summarizing the main findings and published in an academic journal.
