Advisory Services to the President of Kazakhstan on Macroeconomic Issues

Description:

This advisory project for President Nazarbayev concerned monetary and fiscal policies, tax system, social policy, the banking system, foreign trade and promotion of foreign investment. Marek Dabrowski led a team consisting of [Helena Goralska], Jerzy Osiatynski, [Wladysław Jermakowicz] and Rafal Antczak. The CASE team prepared the report on "Economic Transformation in Kazakhstan: Issues of Macroeconomic Policy, Foreign Economic Relations and Restructuring of the Banking Sector", which was discussed during the international conference in Almaty on May 22-23, 1996 and then submitted to President Nazarvaev.
