About the seminar:
Poland’s healthcare system is subjected to constant pressures, and faces difficulties in resolving them – and even more so in liquidating them, or at least reducing them. Directions of change are chosen under the influence of one-sided political assessments, the special interests of various lobby groups, or protesters from various groups of health sector employees. At the same time, there is no comprehensive, deep diagnosis of the system that can serve as the basis for changes. As a result, the debate is not always sufficiently professional and evidence-based.
The experts invited to the panel will initiate another discussion on the system of the healthcare system. A similar seminar was held as part of this same series (the 97th BRE-CASE Seminar) on 12 June 2008. The panelists will discuss the same subjects, which remain painfully current. Their theses are based on comparative analyses of European research projects they participated in over the past decade.
