Elaboration of the Sub-regional Strategy Pillars for Central Asia

At the request of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS Marek Dabrowski took part in September 2002 in a consulting mission to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan with purpose to elaborate a medium-term program strategy for UNDP in this sub-region. Meetings with the representatives of governments, local think-tanks, NGOs and international donor community resulted in preparing a chapter on "Support to Economic Reforms" in the report on "UNDP Strategy for Central Asia". Another task of this mission was consulting and preparing written comments to a draft Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper in Kyrgyzstan (for 2003-2005).
