Core Inflation and Changes in Relative Prices in Poland

Description

A four-month project financed by National Bank of Poland was carried out since October 2001 till February 2002. The aim of the project was to analyse the structure of prices in Poland and to define their impact on the inflation process.

The participants in the project, Przemysław Woźniak (coordinator) and Łukasz Rawdanowicz prepared 3 reports: 'Changes in relative prices and inflation in Poland in 1991 - 2001' (P. Woźniak); 'Researching the influence of the Harrod-Balassy-Samuelson effect on relative prices in Poland' (Ł. Rawdanowicz); and 'Weighted average variations as a measure of core inflation - a review of methods and empirical analysis based on Polish data' (P. Woźniak).
